Fabulous work, thank you
We asked Adobe to do a few things to our house – level and resod the backyard, add a patio, paint our 3 story townhome and change 2 levels of 20+ year old carpet to hardwood. WOW WOW WOW The work that Yvon produced is nothing short of phenomenal. The backyard looks like it should be photographed for a magazine. You can imagine, this was after 20 years of it being neglected. It really is a place now we can entertain. My wife and I cannot stop looking at it. Our carpets were horrible – and with a baby beginning to crawl, we knew we had to hurry and change this. Yvon helped pick the hardwood floors, made custom made air vents, and finished in a fast manor so that my elderly parents were not too put out. He also painted the house and changed the door hardware. It looks spectacular. Oh almost forgot to mention, he also added an under the stair storage space with custom made door. Yvon is honest, easy to talk to, and for those who mind – he makes sure every spot in the house in cleaned before he leaves! Don’t hesitate to reach out to him. We look forward for him to work on some more projects we have (kitchen, basement refurb) when the time comes. Thanks Adobe!

Bathroom renovation x2, fence installation
We originally wanted to add a bathroom on our 1st floor for my in-laws. We had a few contractors come. But only one (Yvon) was honest and realistic about the prospective costs and challenges of what we had invisioned. So intead of adding a bathroom, we decided to renovate our main bathroom to a mobility accessible walk-in shower. Being a family of 6 in this house, we also wanted the powder room renovated to give us some more space. We opted to provide the tiles, vanity, and shower system ourselves, which in hindsight, was the wrong decision. I had never felt so stressed! But Yvon was patient and helpful with answering any questions I had. Both bathrooms were completely gutted -new tiles, new paint, new hardware, new vanity and toilet, new everything! They look a million times better and we are extremely happy. Additionally, Yvon also extended our fence so our backyard is finally enclosed. So many contractors over the last couple of years we have lived here have given me the run around with it or outright refused because the project was “too small”. Yvon had it up in a matter of hours and we are over the moon about it. Very grateful that we were able to find a personable, kind, and honest person to do work in our forever family home. I would recommend this company to anyone (already have) and hopefully he will be able to complete some more projects we have for our home on the horizon.

Garage Organization + Balcony Door Leak Investigation
Yvon has been reliable, trustworthy and easy to talk to. For our garage job, he discussed options, painted, installed shelving and mounted bike racks. He then was able to figure out the source of a leak in our house, which had been eluding us. He brainstormed with us on how to resolve this. Yvon did the work to provide a temporary fix to the leak until a permanent solution can be found. We are quite impressed with his work.

changing posts of backyard fence
my fance was almost falling down due to broken posts.. The posts broke due to strong winds and rotting at the base.. Yvonne did a great job replacing the posts with new ones and reinstalling the fence in perfect shape. He also did minor fixes on my backyard door and did not charge me extra for it. He is also punctual. He came on time and got the job done within 2 days. Highly recommend him.

There was approximately 75 feet of glass railing to install on an upper and lower deck. Yvon and his team were amazing to work with. My bathroom went through a complete makeover. The work was completed in a timely fashion and within the quoted price (which was reasonable comparing to the competition). Yvon made it easy for me to choose the design due to his vigorous bathroom reno experience and good taste. I also liked that his quote was very detailed. Full Cottage Renovation
Abode contracting helped us with a massive project which was including three bathrooms, two living rooms, full kitchen, dining rooms, front deck and boat docking area. The team was very professional, dependable and caring for our budget and business. We absolutely love the recommendation of the products that the head contractor (owner) was suggesting. He has an eye for matching colors correctly according to the amount of light we had in our space, and tile selections, color of our hardwood floors, and overall perfect coordination between rooms and main area. The outcome is a beautiful design of modern with a touch of timeless classic details. The head contractor communicated all the details that we needed to know along the away including some vendors locations, quality of product from different vendors, and provided us with his own discount to save money and time. Lastly, we shopped and evaluated few different construction companies and Abodes labour fees was significantly better than most companies that were recommended to us through friends. The owner is very honest, trustworthy, and take responsibility to deliver according to set timelines which was extremely important for our family. We highly recommend Abode and will definitely have them for all of our future renovations.

Great Experience, Start to Finish
I have used Abode Construction personally 2 times. Both times it was a full refurbishment of the bathroom. In October 2022, Yvon fully renovated the bathroom in my basement, and in March 2023, he did the bathroom in our investment property. I really cant say enough good things about this company. Each time it was a 2 weeks renovation s, and it was right on schedule, start to finish. Yvon & his crew were wonderful to work with. They explained every detail of the process and were very responsive to the questions we had along the way. New fence

Grear backyard fence and deck
Adobe was working on our neighbours backyard fence. We liked the thoroughness and care put into its building and asked Yvon (owner of Adobe) if he was available to build us a new fence. He was and did build us an excellent, cedar fence fully to code. His estimate was entirely accurate abd he took care to keep us updated about any problems and general progress. The fence cost $3300. We then asked Yvon if he could re-build our back deck. Similarly, he provided a fully costed estimate for a deck built to our design – actually 2 estimates: one using cedar, the other treated wood. We opted for cedar. His work was excellent and there were no surprise costs. He completed a beautiful, solidly built deck on time and on budget ($11,700). Yvon is both an excellent builder and an honest, hardworking contractor. He is reliable and kept in touch with us for every step of the project. We would highly recommend him. – that is, Adobe contracting.
